S5 – Language Resources of the Future

Today's language resources are no longer, and not solely, digital representation or counterparts of printed lexica, collections of annotated texts or corpus of speech.

In this session we want to explore which are the new innovative types of language data and tools - the "language resources of the future", that are/will be needed in new/strategic applications and sectors, but are still missing, or only at a research/experimental stage, either for scientific investigations or for technology development and evaluation in the area of information and communication technologies and related applications - and which are the challenges they raise in terms of scientific, technical, organizational and funding issues, in order to make them available.
